South Philly does it again with the Punk Burger. This place is absolutely fantastic. I have not been to a burger joint this good in a long time. We had a Juicy Philly smothered with portobello mushrooms, and the burger was so thick. It was stuffed with cheddar cheese. The cheese was oozing out of the burger. The Smashburger was so good we ordered 2 more to go. This thing was cooked perfectly, and The Onion rings. I have not had onion rings like this in a very long time. They were done just like they used to be done. I will definitely be coming back.

Great burger shop with lots of vegan options. My sister had an Impossible beef burger with onion rings on top. I have a vegan, hand-pattied veggie burger and I topped it with cheese and caramelized onions. They had milkshakes, even vegan shakes with your choice of milk. The soda fountain offered Maine Root organic sodas. Everything was delicious. Service was great.

So it's Girl Scout Cookie season and they brought back a new line-up of inspired milkshakes that even has vegan options! My favorite flavor was the Dark Chocolate Salted Brownie milkshake (with oat milk instead of regular) and it hit the spot! They also have new smash burgers and other items on their menu that makes this an East Passyunk gem!

For me, it’s always hard to judge a place that does vegan options. I try to be fair and true, and my intentions are certainly never to hurt a business so I have to approach this with an open mind as I hope my readers do. Punk burger is in a very neat place in a nice little business section in South Philadelphia. I was greeted when By a nice young lady name Jada when you first walked in This is a very family, friendly atmosphere. Currently cash only there is an ATM on site with $1.99 fee so bring cash to avoid this . Jada was extremely helpful and seemed to be a one person show. Taking care of the register, taking my order, serving our food doing just about everything reminds me when I was younger. I decided to order three meals. Each sandwich has the same potato bun. After some research. I found that these are vegan like most potato buns are these happen to be decent and I’ve seen them around the city. The first sandwich was from the lunch combo special you can choose from any burger I chose to beyond it was topped with fresh sliced avocado, vegan cheese, a nice healthy onion, ring, and punk signature sauce. The sauce is vegan, although I’m not sure what the ingredients are. This sandwich was excellent cooked very well nice and juicy plenty of cheese, and sauce, this needs nothing just a hungry mouth and this is probably the best I’ve had yet as far as beyond burgers, they had forgot to put the truffle oil on the fries not a big deal that was corrected with an ample amount. I am not a big fan of shoestring fries. I never have been I believe this burger and the others would benefit greatly from a special french fry hand cut would be the best obviously but there are many options out there that could be brought in for consistency back to the truffle I am a true lover of anything truffle and the excess oil that was left from the fries was great to dip in made the sandwich that much better. The next sandwich that I had was The copycat vegan chicken sandwich. This product is not made in house, but it is satisfactory to fulfill a vegan needs, i’m a little spoiled because I’ve had the best vegan chicken sandwiches offered in the city and throughout the tri-state area nourish on Girard Avenue still holds the title for me, followed by bed head in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. The salted caramel shake was made with oat milk and was perfect. I only had a few sips. I don’t do sweet like that but this will please any shake fan. The combo has Pretty good savings I might add. I also ordered the vegan pulled Portobello, which has onions, tomatoes, veggies, topped with sweet potato fries, and punk signature sauce. This happens to be a really good sandwich I added the candied jalapeños, I made sure I tasted the sandwich before I put them on. they were very spicy, Definitely did not need them.this sandwich was delicious and is a healthy size sandwich. It exploded on impact and was messy which I love and was really good. I really think this particular sandwich could use different bread tho it would take it to a different level, perhaps a grilled sourdough or even a ciabatta, shoe string fries are served on the side with this.I saw that they had broccoli rabe on the menu, which would’ve been amazing to add as a side, but they were out. Overall a decent place, prices are fair with supply prices being high, a few tweaks, to the bread and fries would go along way not that they are bad I just think that another level could be reached.

I ate here 2 consecutive Saturdays and was very pleased with my burgers on both visits. On the 1st visit I ordered the P'unk Burger, signature sauce on the side, curly fries & a drink. All the burger ingredients meshed nicely, tasted great and the bun held together all the way to the end. I recommend cutting the burger in half for easier handling. For the 2nd visit I had Nadia's Double Smash Burger, secret sauce on the side, and I added fresh tomatoes slices. This was a terrific burger all around, and the bun held together again. Curly fries are pretty good, will try regular fries next visit. All in all, great burgers, clean establishment and good service. Will be coming back here often. FYI, this is a cash-only business.
